I’m Tom, the creator behind Tom’s Gadget Garage.
What started as a personal interest in electric scooters and e-bikes has grown into a hands-on review platform focused on real-world testing, not marketing claims. Every product I feature is something I personally ride, test, and evaluate the way an everyday rider actually would — on real roads, real hills, and real commutes.
My content focuses on:

I don’t believe specs tell the whole story. Motor wattage, battery size, and advertised range only matter if they translate into a good real-world riding experience. That’s why I put a strong emphasis on how a product feels, how it performs under load, and whether it actually makes sense for daily riding.
You’ll often see me testing products in situations most riders care about — stop-and-go city riding, sustained climbs, longer-distance runs, and practical commuting scenarios. I also call out things that surprise me, whether that’s better-than-expected performance or areas where a product falls short.
